Extreme Alumni Katie Stengel is having a monster College career!

Four-year letter winner at Viera High School, Katie Stengel has become a key player at Wake forest despite her short time on the team.  "Katie Stengel inspires all young soccer players," says former High School coach Steve Richards and Director of Extreme Academy.  “One word comes to mind every time I think of her: ‘champion.’”  She has developed outstanding skills along with impeccable speed on and off the ball.  She has also developed excellent field vision and commanding goal scoring qualities imperative in truly becoming successful on the soccer field. “The assets Katie presented to our school and team helped to maximize the strengths and abilities of an accomplished program.” said Richards, her former High school coach and Director of Extreme Academy.

"Katie is a tactically sound player, determined to never deter from working harder or learning new aspects of the game.  She is the type of player who is not afraid to get stuck in when needed and never let down. It is in my opinion that Katie is more than capable of playing at the next level.”  Richards commented on her most current accomplishments at Wake Forest.  As a well-rounded Student-Athlete Katie is the type of player that will make an immediate impact on any team, as she is highly motivated, and a TRUE WINNING CHAMPION.

Atlanta Beat Goalkeeper Katie Fraine joins the Extreme Academy Staff!
Former University of Florida Goalkeeper and current Atlanta Beat goalkeeper Katie Fraine has joined the Extreme Academy Staff. Titusville native Katie Fraine is teaming up with the Extreme Coaching staff to help young goalkeepers train in Brevard county area.
Katie is continuing her off season training under the direction of the Extreme Academy in preparation for her upcoming season.

  • Signed by the Atlanta Beat as a free agent for the 2011 season
  • Selected by the Washington Freedom as the No. 22 overall pick in the fourth round of the 2011 WPS Draft
International:
  • Attended US U-23 National Camp in Carson, CA in June 2010
W-League:
  • Played with Pali Blues in the summer of 2010
College:
  • Set the record at the University of Florida for career solo shutouts (27)
  • Was ranked second in the Southeastern Conference with goals-against-average of 0.71 (complete season) and 0.64 (SEC matches only)
  • All-South Region team for two consecutive years
  • Was No. 21 on TopDrawerSoccer.com’s National Top 100 Collegiate Players list
  • Only the second Gator goalkeeper to earn All-SEC honors in program’s 15-year history
  • Named to the SEC All-Tournament team in 2009

  • 2005 Florida Sports Writers Association 4A Honorable Mention All-State selection for Titusville High School
  • 2005 Cape Coast Conference team selection
  • Was captain as a junior and senior
  • Member of Indialantic Force Club team from 2004-2006

  • Part of the 2004 3V3 Challenge Sports national championship team
  • Played for the Titusville Titans Club team from 2001-2004, and was part of the teams that were finalists at the 2003 President’s Cup
